Wired Headphones not Recognized when Plugged in
Problem:
Plugging a wired audio jack into the does nothing. Audio continues to play through default speakers.
Solution:
- Dell Optimizer > Audio disabled
- Task Manager > Waves Audio Service > Enabled
- Realtek Audio Console > Advanced Settings > Enable Pop-up Dialog + Connector Retasking "Headset"
- Device Manager > Audio > Remove "Speaker 1 or Speaker 2"
- Plug in device
- Select "Headset" if device has built-in mic
- Teams > "Speaker - Headphones (realtek audio)" and "Microphone - Jack Mic (realtek audio)"
